Annual Report 2025
Mature. And Ready for the Future. |
|
Hello ,
We have published our 2025 Annual Report. It shows the significant progress we have made in climate protection over the past year.
And we’re delighted with what we’ve achieved together. Companies and private individuals took responsibility for around 2.4 million tonnes of CO₂, while our climate protection projects generated 2.9 million tonnes of certified emissions reductions. Since our company was founded, a total of over 25.8 million tonnes of CO₂ has been avoided or sequestered. That’s something we’re proud of!
Our impact can also be felt locally. More than 12.2 million people benefit from our projects, such as biogas plants that improve the health of women and children, or reforestation projects that generate income for small farmers. In 2025, we also added a natural charcoal project in Colombia to our portfolio for the first time. This permanently sequesters CO₂ in the soil while also improving the livelihoods of coffee farmers. A first project involving biogenic construction materials in the building sector also opened up new avenues for CO₂ storage in the DACH region.
And we achieved a great deal in the field of education. We trained 5,470 students from Germany and Switzerland on the topic of climate protection in 369 workshops and further training courses. 458 projects were developed at all levels of education. We have also provided consultancy and tools to support companies with their emissions management and reduction roadmaps, and empowered, activated and inspired employees to tackle climate and future-related issues.
2025 was a challenging year, shaped by economic uncertainty, geopolitical upheaval and regulatory changes. This made it all the more important for us to continue to make an impact, take responsibility, create clarity and maintain our ability to act.
The Annual Report shows how myclimate has acted with greater focus and strategic clarity, with the clear aim of remaining effective even under difficult conditions, and how it closed the financial year within budget.
We look to the future. The further development of the international carbon markets, clearer standards for credible climate targets and the fact that, contrary to popular belief, there is still widespread public support for climate protection, give us concrete grounds for optimism. With a sharper strategy and a clear focus on climate protection financing and integrated net zero pathways, we will continue to expand our impact.

Why the International Carbon Market is currently being relaunched |
|
In a scientific paper, our myclimate colleagues Dr Nsikan-George Emana, Dr Tim Reutemann and Paul Leon from the Carbon Markets team have pooled their experiences from international market developments, cooperation with governments and operational work in the area of Article 6. We have summarised what lies behind the transformation of the carbon market and what this means in concrete terms in a commentary. |

I am Jaideep Bansal, project partner for efficient cooking solutions in India |
|
“Together with myclimate, we are making a real difference: in remote villages, we combine technical solutions with sustainable infrastructure, thereby improving the lives of the local population.” As a project partner, Jaideep Bansal is committed to promoting the use of efficient cooking stoves in rural regions of India. These significantly reduce emissions and harmful smoke, whilst also decreasing the demand for firewood. Together with myclimate, the project thus improves the quality of life for local people and contributes to the protection of the climate and natural resources.
