The next Generation is Taking Action – We Support and Inspire Them!

Hello ,

At myclimate, autumn is all about education and is dominated by numerous events that highlight the commitment of young people at school and in work and celebrate their creative ideas for effective climate protection.

Our action-oriented educational programme provides apprentices, students and teachers with practical information on the climate and equips them with skills for the future. The aim is for young people to recognise their scope for action in terms of sustainability, actively utilise it, and experience self-efficacy – skills that are relevant both in their private lives and in any career.

A particular highlight was the award ceremony for Skills for Future at SwissSkills, Switzerland’s central vocational championships, where we were able to recognise the most innovative sustainability projects, make new contacts and get inspired by the surprising approaches of the apprentices. From the “Adventura” project by the apprentices at the Centre Professionnel du Nord Vaudois to the “Bale Grab” from the IDM Thun vocational training centre, the diversity and creativity of the ideas developed clearly demonstrates the enthusiasm of the young people for climate protection, and shows that every career can be a climate career.

Read our news article to find out about the creative ideas the young people developed and implemented, and how companies can benefit from them.

Would you like to play an active role in shaping the future of the next generation? Explore our educational programme and be inspired by the innovation and commitment of the apprentices.

I am Moritz Bandhauer, Project Manager for Domestic Projects at myclimate

Moritz combines technology with climate protection. In our new project, 'Biogenic Building Materials', in which he played a key role, we offer an innovative solution for actively removing and storing CO₂ in buildings. In collaboration with Openly, we support building owners in the DACH region who wish to replace traditional materials with biogenic alternatives, such as wood, hemp, biochar, and straw. Through photosynthesis, plants extract CO₂ from the atmosphere, which is then stored in the building materials – a significant step towards sustainable construction and net zero!
